World Drivers' ChampionshipIt was a close battle right to the finish, with Sebastian Vettel spinning on the first lap and dropping to the back of the field. He had to make his way back up the order, as Fernando Alonso wavered on and off the podium. In the end, it was Vettel who takes his third championship in a row.

Sebastian Vettel was clearly upset with relinquishing his lead to Lewis Hamilton, but it was three extra points to him that he managed to finish ahead of Fernando Alonso. The battle goes to Brazil, where the driver's title will finally be decided.

Practice and qualifying ban on free use of DRS in 2013

The use of the moveable rear wing innovation, DRS (Drag Reduction System) will be banned in practice and qualifying in 2013, it has emerged.

The ban follows complaints from the drivers themselves, who argued that the innovation - introduced in 2011, to make overtaking easier during races - had also made driving more dangerous.

'Photo Finnish', the 10th episode of the McLaren animation series, 'Tooned' is out. Two-time Formula One World Champion, Mika Hakkinen makes an appearance.
Professor M has invited Hakkinen to promote the new McLaren Go-kart. The 'Flying Finn' is retired and most of his "driving is done on the Golf course". Check out the video below, and see whether Jenson and Lewis can talk him out of retirement.

World Drivers' ChampionshipSebastian Vettel's gap at the top to Fernando Alonso has closed very slightly, but Vettel managed to do incredible damage control by making up 21 places from the back of the grid. Kimi Raikkonen's win added to his points tally, but not enough to keep him in the championship fight. It's now a full on battle between Vettel and Alonso with two races remaining.

2012 Abu Dhabi GP: Hamilton takes pole ahead of the Bulls





Lewis Hamilton took pole position for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix ahead of Mark Webber, while Sebastian Vettel was excluded from the results after running out of fuel and will start from the back of the grid.
