Peugeot today showed off its mildly refreshed 207 that comes in three body shapes, three- and five-door hatchback, Station Wagon and the CC hardtop convertible. All variants of the 207 feature a redesigned front end with a new grille, increased use of exterior body coloring and chrome detailing while the hatchback and CC models also gain new LED tail lights.

There are no photos of the interior but the French carmaker said that its facelifted supermini benefits from new trims and detailing plus a revised instrument panel.

The introduction of the 2010MY 207 also sees a range of new standard equipment that includes an in-car entertainment system with Bluetooth connectivity, one-touch direction indicator function, remote controlled window closure on hatchback and SW models and one-touch operation of the driver's electric window on the 207 CC.
 Inside, new trim designs, Bluetooth and a revamped instrument cluster are the major changes, but the biggest news is reserved for what's under the bonnet. A range of new Euro V-compliant engines will be gradually phased in for the 207 model line, with CO2 emissions claimed to fall to just 99g/km for the ultra-efficient 207 HDi FAP 99g.

Peugeot 207 benefits from a revamped interior, with all models seeing a redesigned HVAC control panel and rotary controls. Entry-level XR, mid-level XT and CC models are upgraded with metallic detailing "reminiscent of the vintage world of aviation". The seats are finished in a sports cloth upholstery and all 207 models have been fitted with new look instrument panels. For the sporty 207 GTi models, the bucket seats are now finished in a black Alcantara trim accented with leather and a mesh cloth.

HIGH-LEVEL VISUAL APPEAL
Exterior Styling Changes:
* a redesigned front combining natural dynamism with a softer visual look;
* more body coloured surfaces and chrome detailing;
* spectacular new rear lights using panels of luminescent diodes (hatchback and CC).
A more luxurious passenger compartment with:
* new trims and detailing placing emphasis on perceived quality, comfort and dynamism;
* new instrument panel designs with a more modern look and visual appeal.
AN EVEN GREATER COMMITMENT TO REDUCING FUEL CONSUMPTION AND PROTECTING THE ENVIRONMENT:
* thanks to particularly fuel effi cient engines with reduced greenhouse gas emissions;
* through the optimisation of the rolling resistance of the tyres to reduce fuel consumption;
* through “very low fuel consumption” optimised not only aerodynamically
* (exceptional Cx of only 0.274), but also by operation of the engine itself and
* rolling resistance, allowing CO2 emissions to be reduced to 99 g/km;
* through the gradual deployment of engines meeting the Euro5 emission standard;
* through the introduction of a gear change indicator on manual gearbox engines
* encouraging the driver to drive in a more environmentally efficient way.
  Four engines are offered in total, with five different power outputs spanning from the 65kW 1.4-litre engine to the 128kW 1.6-litre turbo powerplant in the 207 GTi. The entry-level 207 XR models are available with a 1.4-litre petrol engine -- outputting 65kW/133Nm -- coupled to a five-speed manual transmission, and a 1.6-litre unit developing 88kW/160Nm offered with a four-speed auto. The 1.6-litre engine is also available on the 207 XT and CC models but can be ordered with either five-speed manual or four-speed auto. XT models are available with a 1.6-litre HDi turbodiesel engine, which produces 80kW/240Nm and can only be had with a 5-speed manual transmission.
Furthermore, Peugeot claims that the 207's range will be gradually updated with the introduction of engines meeting the Euro5 emission standard. Prices and full details will be released closer to the launch of the new 207 that is scheduled to arrive in European showrooms this August.
