Sebastian Vettel will start the Japanese Grand Prix from pole position for the fourth year in a row as Red Bull lock out the front row at Suzuka.



Mark Webber was second quickest ahead of Jenson Button for McLaren. Home hero, Kamui Kobayashi qualified a brilliant fourth and will be elevated to third due to Button's 5-place grid penalty.

Michael Schumacher announces his retirement at the end of the season

At Suzuka today (Oct 4) Michael Schumacher, the seven-time world champion has announced his retirement from the sport for the second time, at the end of the season.



Michael Schumacher having been replaced by Lewis Hamilton for 2013 at Mercedes, was linked to move to Sauber, instead, quit the sport at the age of 43.

New 'Flexi wing' saga emerging in F1 - report

A new controversy about flexible front wings is set to emerge, according to Germany's Auto Motor und Sport.



The magazine said McLaren has developed a front wing which moves around the horizontal axis, with Red Bull following suit with a similar idea that appeared in Singapore recently.
